Minds joined in love can bring the change we desire. What I’ve learned is not a concept I understood until recent years. We aren’t commonly taught this growing up in the West. And has taken a bit of time to sink in. But, it makes perfect sense so here you go.
The way to change the anger in the world is to start by just changing our own minds and bringing our thoughts back to a place of love, peace, kindness, gentleness and like mindsets. This starts by paying attention to our thoughts and emotions and then taking note of the times when we are being judgemental about other people or situations. Most will notice this is happening often. So, the fun/challenging part is as we begin to turn those thoughts around to loving thoughts, over time life starts to seem a bit nicer, less chaotic, more peaceful. King Soloman shared inspired insight when he said,”A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.” Collectively for decades now we have all been exposed to alot of scary, violent type of teachings or visuals through TV, movies, video games, news shows and such. People are drawn to shows with conflict so the majority of what we have been exposed to each day involves some sort of conflict. Over time, this stirs up anger in many people and they don’t necessarily know where it came from.
Now I know. And, now I’ve learned what we can do to help change what is happening in our country and the world.
What I can do is to begin to change my mind from the many influences I have been exposed to in my life, or another way to think about it is all the conditioning I’ve learned through my parents (just doing what they thought was best based on their upbringing), the school system, the media all under the pretense of living the American dream. What I can so is to begin to regain control over my thoughts and turn them back to thoughts of love and peace and forgiveness for myself, for my family and for all those in my circle of life. As more and more people do the same, the collective mindset can begin to change to more peaceful thoughts, and this is one powerful way to affect change.
We are here on purpose. We know this because we are indeed here. And, we were all created to live a life full of fun, following our passions, being kind to ourselves and others, doing the things we enjoy like gardening, writing, painting, athletics, singing, theater, building a business, whatever calls us is our life’s purpose and by living life fully through expressing our own uniqueness we will aid in changing the world for the better.
I’m convinced it doesn’t have to complicated. We can do this. And what a nice way to contribute – by being ourselves and being happy.
Just my 2 cents.
