Do Not Be Anxious about Anything – Your Purpose is Simple

A Bit of Scripture: Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

What this means to me: The worldly worries are often part of the 95% of your mind incessantly creating anxiety. Most of the time there is nothing you need do at that moment. But, you find yourself with these worries repeating themselves all day in your head. When you learn that you (the true you, created by God to enjoy and grow spiritually during this lifetime) are just the observer of these thoughts, and with practice, you can choose to not think those thoughts. Instead, pray that God help you see things differently, focus on the present moment, extend love to others around you or pray for folks not around you. Stay in a positive mindset. And, as the scripture says, you will start to feel peace. You can choose peace. And, this sets you free.

Eckart Tolle teaches that every challenge/suffering is an opportunity for spiritual growth and if we look at each challenge in this way, we can embrace the challenge and be grateful for what it will teach us. I also equate this to the times where life brings you to your knees in prayer, asking God to finally take the lead and understanding that if you align with him, not only your best interest but also all those around you will be served to the greater good of all. ❤💙❤
Whenever you think “I don’t know what God wants me to do”, remind yourself that the only thing he wants you to do is be present in each moment and share love and kindness to each person you interact with. That is your purpose. And, it is so simple. ❤💙❤
